Harambee hair

Hmmmmm… What to do for my daughters hair before Harabee camp? I know! Let’s sew it. I really like this technique because it is super fast and is an interesting alternative to braiding. I don’t know where I learned to sew hair but I think it was on YouTube! [Edit: video below!!! in the comments] Pretty isn’t it? Spice likes it anyway.

  1. Looks beautiful! I’ll have to talk to you about it at Watashan. I’m interested to see how it holds up. It’s so cool looking…

  2. Love it! Any tutorial you’d recommend? I’d love to try this on my dd but am wondering if it would be practical on her- she’s got off the chart tight hair with no real curl definition and I’m wondering if this is better for looser curls? What are your thoughts on that?

    • Hmmmm… On my limited wifi here at camp, I can’t find the YouTube video. I’ll try again when I get home. I THINK I had googled Ghanaian plaits. But the demo person, I think, had super tight curls.

Say hello!
