Deep Discussions

I was compiling some video clips for my relatives today, and I just can’t believe how far along the girls’ language has come. Some people are also surprised at the things we talk about – and most of the time they start the conversation.
Like today when we were driving past the hospital, Spice says “I want work here!”… and hence this discussion an hour later on the deck. (They’re stuffing their faces with salsa and tortillas, but you get the idea.)

I love that you’re eating outside even though you have to be in your winter coats. I love, love, love that your host mom is a part of the people in the girl’s lives… it was neat to be listening and suddenly hear you talking about your exchange. Made me smile

Wow Nicky!
That was soooo cute! Glad you’re getting them into the longterm education mode already!
I also am so jealous that you’re out on your deck in January! I mean yes, you’re wearing winter coats, but they are mittenless and not crying so that is a step above where I live… Have I mentioned I’d like to move to where you are???
Hello,
My name is Dana Laferriere. I have been following you blog for a while, but never post. I have recently accepted a referral for a beautiful boy that is 3yrs old. I was hoping that I could pick your brain about your experiences with your girls. I have so many questions about adopting toddlers. If you have a moment, could you please respond.
Thank-you so much,
Dana
Yes, there are advantages of Kelona weather!
Although, we have about two-three months of overcast skies – that’s the downside!
as soon as I put that video on my kids all came running. They think your girls are soooooo cute and funny! and love that your snacking on one of our fav’s outside in the blissful sun!…was that monday? I was at the hospital there with my Dad~ sooo gleeful that the sun was out! man do we all ever need that sun! these gray days are a touch on the tedious side:)
