Visas in hand!

Just a quick note to let everyone know that as of this morning, they have the visas! Yay! Now they just have to get the travel visa for Germany…usually just a day or so turn around. So travel plans are underway….

If you have a long layover in Frankfurt, you can request a Schengen Visa at the German Consulate. This will allow you to go out of the security area at the airport. In fact you can stay several days in Germany if you like. There is no additional cost for the Schengen Visa you need only use a different application form and the Consulate. I did this in January and it was great to just go outside and get fresh air. In hindsight, I should have taken a hotel room for a day or two just to recover a little. By the time we landed home, I had not slept for 52 hours so a break in the long journey home would have helped in the recuperation. But I am sure you will be anxious to just get home! Your girls are beautiful and I am very excited for you. Have a safe journey home.
