Our court date didn’t go through again. And this time, we don’t know when it will be rescheduled.
Everything has got more complicated. We have a lot of questions, and very few answers.
We are expecting an update today – but I’m almost not looking forward to it. It’s sort of like looking at something you really want, but can’t have. Just out of reach.
Today stinks.
Oh no! You guys, I’m SO sorry. I can honestly say, I know how you feel! We had around 7 court dates. Be nice to yourselves today.
I am so very sorry to hear this awful news. I can’t believe it.

Oh Nicky, I just feel ill for you both. I’m so, so sorry. I hope you get some answers and another court date pronto. There is just no good reason for your girls not to be moving closer to their mom and dad.

Oh Nicky….that’s just horrible. I just can’t believe it. I hope you get those much needed answers today as to why it didn’t happen.

OH NO!!!! My heart goes out to you. I can’t believe you don’t have any answers about why this is happening or another court date scheduled.
This sucks – that’s really all I can say.
If you need to vent feel free to send me an email (not sure if you remember me but I am on the chat group every once in a while). We went through many court dates as well so I hope I can lend a sympathetic ear if you need it.

Oh Nicky I am so sorry. I hope you get answers to your questions. It must be just seemingly impossible to keep going on, but you will and the girls will be yours.
I know you really worry cause they don’t know about you yet, but I have learned one thing from Selam. All of the kids know they are going to Canada it is just they don’t know when. They won’t be thinking they aren’t going to have a mom and dad, they just won’t know it is you yet.

We waited 10mth after our refferal ! We went through 2 court dates & were set for a third – the director of our orphanage was fianlly able to get us passed court – but the wait was sooooo very long . Now my husband and oldest daughter are picking up our year old boy – they will be home on Sunday –

Just when we thought that they had finally gotten their shit together, and people were getting past these court delays, this happens! It is absolutely mind boggling that this continues to drag on. I really hope you get some answers (that make sense…). Total bummer.

Sooo sorry to hear this Nicki, it is unbelievable! I can’t imagine how frustrated you must feel to not understand fully why this is happening. I hope you will get some answers and some one over there will get on your side and get these girls home.

Nicky – My heart is aching for you today. I have been quietly following your blog for the last year and haven’t commented on much. But I do check your blog often and LOVE all the updates. Today, I couldn’t wait to get home to check your blog to find out the news … now I just want to give you a hug. And yell at someone in the Ethiopian court system!! Chris and I officially started our Ethiopian sibling adoption process in December and we’re finishing up our homestudy this week. Then we’ll be starting the long wait too. Your blog has been quite as inspiration to us. Thank you for sharing your story because your blog has made us smile many many times over the last year. And you have helped both of us get more excited about our adoption process. I am so very sorry that your girls aren’t home with you yet … today most definitely stinks.
