My best friend S and her husband T were here visiting from Prince George last weekend. It was great to have them here. It’s actually the first time they have visited us in Kelowna (- although we’ve seen each other every year.) It was so fun to show them the sights and get a taste of Kelowna.
The weather was horrible (for here – a paradise compared to PG! lol) but we still got out and about. enjoy our exploits below!
- Forcing the boys to go to the goat cheese artisan – yummy gelato!
- Enjoying the Rollingdale Winery
- It was serve yourself for tasting – they became pretty happy campers pretty fast!
- Boy, were we thirsty!
- We actually bought it as a garden planter.
- Enjoying the view at Quail’s Gate Winery
- In the Okanagan sunshine
- T and S bike up Knox Mountain
- As you can see, it’s pretty steep!
- We walked with the dogs – not as exciting onthe way down
- She’s one of those marathon-running / exercising types. Crazy spandex.
- I taught S and T to make some Ethiopian food – including my first fermented injera. And it worked!
- Oh, it was so good – the doro wat was a hit, as usual.
- The next day, I show ‘S’ how we bike RELAXed style in Kelowna
- Best friends since Grade 4/5. She’s a friend worth naming one of your girl’s after.

ooooh, I like your last comment…so what is S’s name?? He he he, thought I could trick ya into getting one of the twin’s names…but I’m sure I couldn’t!
I love the Okanagan! My brother got married at Cedar Creek Estates in Kelowna last Sept., and my boys loved it up there. It was there first trip and we already promised to bring them up again this summer!

You’ll have to share your injera recipe! I look forward to trying it out! Glad to see you had a good visit with my other big sis. Tell her I love the spandex- I also have some for biking. I’m so glad to see someone else who is not a twig, but an active real person, wearing it!
Little sis.
(oops, I also left this on one of the photos, but I meant to leave it on the regular post.
)
lol
Claire – you couldn’t find it out anyway, since it’s my childhood nickname for her
