Oh, drat! Our court date is next week!

I called our caseworker early this morning, to checkup and see if our court date was successful or not – (for those of you in the process but not here yet, we are behind Ethiopia in time, so by the time you wake up, your court date is over and the agency in Ontario will have the news…) – only to get a confused response from our caseworker saying that we are a week early calling.
Oh, seriously?!??!
It’s not her fault or anything – I checked my emails and she must have just told me verbally, and I was a bit of a wreck when she told me (when our last one didn’t go through.) BUT – today is my birthday and I don’t think I would have gone “March 19 – Well that’s my birthday!” when it’s March 12.
Drat! In any case, she confirmed she would be giving us an early morning call March 19th. So to all of you that left me wonderful, encouraging emails and comments – I will reread them again next week. Thanks for your support – you’ll have to stay in suspense. Just like us.
Oh no! Well I’ll stop worrying now about why we hadn’t heard from you yet. Sending you every hope that next week brings incredible news.

Darn it! Well, I’ll be hoping for a great belated Birthday present for you next week. This will be your last birthday without your two little girls to sing you Happy Birthday in their sweet little voices! Hope that you’re able to have a great day!

Just think how much use you will have gotten out of that big mom-purse by your next birthday! Seems ridiculously large right now, but with toys, and kleenex, and…well, all the other random stuff that moms carry (I honestly have no idea what half of it is!) – it’ll really come in handy! Next week, you’ll be going: “Oh my GOD! I’m a mom of two! Thank goodness I have a giant purse!” ;D

Hi Guys. The whole eastern family was waiting with baited breath to hear some news. Bis sis kept asking me to check the blog because she hadnt heard anything from you. I’m so sorry about the mixup. I know i am one great-auntie that can hardly wait until the girls are safe in your arms. I am going to be spending 12 days in Lloydminster in Sept. and it would have been nice to finally meet u Nicky. I guess we will eventually. Take care the week will go by quickly.
