Care Package

Jan. 20th | Posted by 5 comments

Jrock’s mom volunteers a couple of days a week at the local thrift store (raising money for charity.)  She’s the one who sorts through the clothes donations – and gets to stock up at $2 a bag!

So the first parcel arrived while my sister was visiting  two weeks ago – here are a couple of pictures of the loot!

Thanks, Granny!

Hee hee – I especially love the the tiaras and Cinderella-like slippers that I see…

That care package totally rocks! It’s nice to have someone on the “inside” :)

Well, your girls will certainly not suffer from a shortage of clothes! I especially love seeing all those little pairs of shoes and all the frilly girly things…they are going to have such fun trying it all on! How great to have a granny like that!

The dresses and tiaras are for the tckle trunk :-) Funny thing is that they are brand new (super frilly) dresses… tags still on. But some girls must have outgrown them or a wedding was cancelled or womething!

My mom has an inside track into a thrift shop too, and sorts clothes. She gets pick up things for next to nothing or even for free, just for the amount of hours she puts there. Very cool. That’s how I got most of the pants for my very thin son!! Otherwise I need pants/jeans with adjusters, but that’s becoming quite normal now. She doesn’t even buy brand-new or sale clothes for herself…it all comes from there. So, great for you!!!
