Decorating for the little ones
The “kids room” is total disaster now – it’s like a clearing house for all our junk that won’t fit into oter rooms – it has a dishwasher and wine fridge, and sink vanity, the computer desk, etc. all stuffed in there. But soon we’ll be able to unpack it and start decorating!
A while ago I wrote about my ideas for decor – since, I’ve decided the two kids will be in the same room. So here are some of the colours and things I’ve purchased… and you’ll have to wait a while to see them in action!
the crib I bought second hand … the stripey drapes… the crib quilt & bedskirt I bought from Sweet Kyla.. the paisley fabric of the bedskirt/quilt
my rocking chair (still in need of repair)… the “tickle trunk” with bears decoupaged… the dresser/change table
So you can see the assembling of baby stuff is coming along; it’s just all in stacks and piles and chaos along with the rest of the house!

De-lurking to say how much I love your nursery choices! I hope you don’t mind that I have been reading your blog? I have branched out from Asian adoption sites:)

Any day now…..

The bedding is very cute!
Nicky, it all looks great- can’t wait to see the finished product. I bet you can’t wait to see the little faces that are going to be snuggling under that beautiful fabric that you’ve selected for the bedding. I hope that you see them very very soon.
Thanks guys – it look smuch better in the pictures than in the huge pile in the kids’ room right now
!
It will sure be a bright and cheerful room!
VERY beautiful choices for colours Nikki! I can’t wait to see the finished bedroom and I can’t wait to see kiddos enjoying it!
I really like your color choices and love the tickle trunk!
Love.. Love.. Love.. the crib, change table, rocking chair and the bedding! Lovely choices!
